2018 Roadshows...Ocean Discovery Zone at a Devon school and at a small music festival

Following on from the successful Ocean Discovery Zone at Devon County Show, we took a smaller ODZ to a school in North Devon as a prize for their Marine Litter Poster entry in a Devon County Show schools competition , and then to a small Music Festival in South Devon.

At Glas-Denbury music festival, our own small marquees, a 5m x 5m plus a 4m x 3m, are used to create a mini Ocean Discovery Zone
Its a quiet start in the soft evening light, and some good photo opportunities for Turtle Selfies
Nice blue light inside the ODZ, and background sound effects of whale speak and waves lapping on the shore...perfect festival ambience
Whale Workshop creatures and beach finds display enticing you in to one marquee
...and Plankton viewing and making in the adjoining Seadream marquee
Its dusk on the Festival site as the Seadream Team welcome some visitors
Its never too late in the day to do some litterpicking...much cooler in the evening too
Adjusting the microscope to get the plankton in focus
All simple low energy equipment and simple craft activities
Creatures relaxed, audience in the music arena, its a quiet start for us in the ODZ...busy and very hot tomorrow !
At midday everyone is in the beer tent, watching England playing in the World Cup...not many in our cool Ocean tents
Later in the afternoon we had a steady flow through, appreciating the cool blue underwater ambience
The Seadream Education team keeping out of the hot sun,
...and as the afternoon ended, we had another well dressed Pirate visit us to talk with everyone. Where do these Pirates come from ?
A nice end to a not-so-busy music festival that was enhanced by the Ocean flavour we added
